A vote is set for tomorrow in the Indian Parliament on the 123 Nuclear Agreement with the United States. We're not hearing much about it in the United States, but it's the big story in the Indian press. If parliament rejects the agreement, the government will fall.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has pulled together a coalition of political parties that he believes can win. However, the parties continue to maneuver for their own varied purposes, and the outcome of the vote is not at all clear.
I've learned a lot about Indian politics in watching this drama unfold, but I still don't regard myself as a reliable analyst of that very complicated system. So I'll give you some links you can read yourself.
