Today's LA Times features this photo of Zhen Zhen and her mother Bai Yun at the San Diego Zoo. Today Zhen Zhen will make her first adorable public appearance.
On the editorial page, Meghan Daum devotes her entire column to Shreve Stockton's blog about the orphaned coyote she is raising. There are lots of photos at The Daily Coyote of Charlie the coyote and Stockton's cat Eli, who are fast friends.
The odd thing is that Daum doesn't link to The Daily Coyote anywhere in her column. I'm not sure whether she just doesn't understand that this is ordinary courtesy within the intertubes, whether she believes that the rules are different for columnists and bloggers, or whether the LA Times style sheet doesn't allow for it. Competition, you know!
Anyhow, Megan, take a look at this short post. I've generously linked to the LA Times and to The Daily Coyote. Yes, anyone can google and find it. But, since the columnists are so often appalled at the lack of courtesy in the blogosphere, I just thought I'd mention one of our customs that is a courtesy.
