Venus and Mercury will be as high in the sky as they will be this time around.
Mercury is hard to see; I've only just managed to spot it for the first time this last year. It will be easier to identify tonight because it will be just above the thin crescent moon in the west just after sunset.
Venus is unmistakable, the brightest object in the west by a lot. If you have a good pair of binoculars, you should be able to see a half-Venus.
Mars is at opposition, very close to the earth right now. It rises in the east at about sunset, the brightest object on that side of the sky, definitely orangey.
Come to think of it, that was a funny little group of green aliens that came for Halloween...
