A Safe Job for Alberto Gonzalez

By Patricia Lee Sharpe

It seems that the former Attorney General is still looking for a job. Not even the conservative think tanks or the Republican-harboring law firms are interested. This is the first good news I’ve had about America in a long time.

Poor fellow. He was so loyal to George W. Bush. Then he became an embarrassment. Bye bye, Alberto! Still, a long-served master should make some provision for a humble retainer, and I have thought of a job that can safely be entrusted to him. The inevitable President George W. Bush Library will need an uncritical, gung ho director. It might as well be Alberto Gonzalez.
